Invention and entrepreneurship education events are held nationally all year long, with The STEMIE Coalition holds two major events each year of its own:
- The National Invention Convention and Entrepreneurship Expo (NICEE): This K-12 national competition is modeled after the highly successful Intel Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) and focuses on youth invention and entrepreneurship. Invitees are winners of underlying affiliate invention and entrepreneurship programs. The NICEE is held annually in late May at the headquarters of the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, VA (Washington, D.C.). More info here.
- The National Youth Invention and Entrepreneurship Educators Summit: This is a summit of youth invention and entrepreneurship educational program organizers to share best practices, work on joint programs, meet interesting movers and shakers, and move the needle forward for youth programs in the U.S. The Summit is held annually in the Fall at different U.S. locales. More info here.
Of course, affiliates are constantly running their own events throughout the year. Visit our Affiliates’ Competitions Calendar here.
